Mauro is an artist and performer who has worked with "liberated" pianos since the 1980s. He de-constructs old worn-out pianos and assembles unique abstract sculpture with the "guts". As well as creating physical works, he performs compelling musical works, heavily influenced by the likes of John Cage, Astor Piazzolla, and Bach, with the these "piano liberados."
